About This Item
New York: McGraw-Hill, 1963. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good/Very good. Compelling story about the marriage of a wealthy Southern belle to a wartime hero and the profound psychological struggle that results. Inscribed by Williams on the title page, with a portrait of the author and an obituary notice laid in. Octavo. Original black buckram binding, with white and orange titles. Typical toning to the contents. Mild rubbing to the corners and tips. The dust jacket is price-clipped, with some general edgewear, including a short tear to the rear panel that has been mended with tape on the verso; otherwise very good.
