About this Item: Henry Holt & Co, New York, 1944. Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Stanley Kunitz's second book of poems is in near fine condition with slightly faded spine lettering and a small bump on the spine bottom. Book is unmarked and very clean. Thee is a previous owners name on the FFE. This is a First edition and a stated First printing. Stanley Kunitz (1905-2006 100years) was a brilliant poet who won The Pulitzer Prize for poetry in 1959 and was appointed United States Poet Laureate twice (1997 and 1974) along with other numerous prestigious awards. Although Passport to the War has some of Kuntiz's best known poems, the book received little notice, and soon fell out of print. Seller Inventory # 001598
