George Moore This edition of Daphnis and Chloe consists of fifteen hundred copies made for the members of Athena Limited Editions Club. Designed by Porter Garnett and printed under his direction on the hand-press at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is copy 642. Illustrated with etchings by Ruth Reeves And signed here by her. signed by Ruth Reeves. The book is in near fine condition, some slight rubbing at the bottom of the spine and, slight fading of the medallion. Internally clean. VG+ or better slipcase with normal staining and wear expected with age, but no cracks or loses. Translated and introduced by George Moore, illustrated with etchings by Ruth Reeves and designed and printed on a hand press by Porter Garnett. Hand-set in Luteria type, revised by Garnett. Bishopstoke hand-made paper, bound by George McKibbin & Son in full natural lambskin, gold stamped with gold-embossed medallion. Minor insect holes in the interior spine creases. 160 pages, 8 x 11 ¼ inches. NF book in VG+ slipcase; Etching; 4to 11"" - 13"" tall; Signed by Illustrator.
