C. Pond." Cloth. "Stereotyped by Hobart & Robbins, New England Type and Stereotype Foundry, Boston."--verso of title page. Frontispiece signed: Smith-Pierson sc.

The book's contents include the Pastor's address to the Bridal Pair, Duties of the Conjugal Relation, Dedication of the Bridal Home, and Last Workds with the Bridal Pair followed by a poetry section. The author Thayer notes this book was created to fill a void in the bookstores for guidance given to the newlyweds on their new status.

We include a printout snippet from the Sacramento Daily Union, Vol 8, #1235, 9 March 1855 with the Marriage announcement of the couple.

A wedding gift from days gone by.
