Based on fact that George Mallory and Andrew "Sandy" Irvine, British mountaineers, attempted to climb Mount Everest in 1924 – both were lost , and it wasn't until 1999 that George Mallory's body was found, the pair were last seen 800 vertical feet from the summit of Mount Everest.
