Faber and Faber, London, 1966. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Very Good. Illustrator: C. F. Tunnicliffe. The text is illustrated with black and white drawings by C. F Tunnicliffe. Purple coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by C. F Tunnicliffe, with dark orange and green coloured titles to the front panel and green and black coloured titles to the back strip. Another recounting of the author's English childhood. . t. Softening and sunning of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners and lower book edges. Offset tanning to the end pages with age toning of the text block edges and pages. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with a little creasing of the top edge. The white coloured background has become a little dull and flecks of foxing can be seen and sunning to the rear panel. . Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [6], 7 - 139, [5] pages..
