BD2 - A tight, clean, sound copy with minor overall shelf wear with some tape staining on the outside surfaces of the front and back boards and the front and back free endpapers from where the dust jacket was taped to the boards plus there are the usual library stamps and pocket on the top and bottom outside paper edges, the front and back free endpapers, the title page, and the last page plus the book is lightly shelf cocked plus there is some very light soiling on the top outside paper edges plus there are three tiny very light stain spots on the right outside paper edges. An adventure novel set in Victorian England about about Captain John Hawkdale Pendragon, Queen's Agent, a member of the Queen's Intelligence Service. He faces the King's basterd anarchist half-brother and his followers as they plot to assassinate the King of Montenegro while he is on a visit to England. The agent's investigations uncover a plot that includes the capture of an entire British cavalry regiment and an attack on the Royal Mint.
