Putnam Brinley Stated First Edition 8vo size black clothbound hardcover with orange titles and decoration on spine and front cover; 275 deckle edged pages with reddish topstain. Author of more than three dozen books, John Erskine (1879 -1951) was also a pianist and composer. A college professor, Erskine was the first professor of the Julliard School of Music. Bumped head and heel of spine and corners, slightly cocked spine, small abrasion on fep where sticker was removed, toned pages, name and date on half title page. There is a waterstain in the far edge of pages 11 15 and 93. . First. Cloth. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
