Lady Penhallow and her brother, Sir Geoffrey, are in the midst of a family feud that has been going on for years. Lady Penhallow is married to the Earl of Moreland, but she's not happy. She's always wanted to travel and see the world, but her husband is always busy. One day, she hears about a tournament being held in Scotland and decides to go. She meets a knight named Lord Richard at the tournament and they fall in love. When she returns to England, her husband is furious. He accuses her of being unfaithful, but she can't prove anything. Lord Richard decides to leave England and go to Scotland to fight in the tournament. When he returns, he tells her that he's been captured and she has to come to Scotland to rescue him. She does, and they finally get married.; 8vo; 347 pages .
