Controversial when first published, due to its positive stance toward the Eskimo First Nation people. Thankfully, the dialogue has shifted, and Mowat's contribution toward justice is now recognized. Green cloth binding with gilt titling on the spine. Clean text; ix, 320 pages; illustrated endpapers, yellow topstain. Tiny bit of rub to corners, with one corner bumped. Else a Fine copy. The dustjacket is clipped; shows wrinkling and small chips at the margins. In an archival plastic protector.. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good. Synopsis
