Dust jacket in Mylar jacket protector. ; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 219 pages; Some years before the American Revolution, the Governor of Nova Scotia encouraged New England Yankees to move to Nova Scotia resulting the immigration of about 12,000 to that Eastern province. When the Revolution happened these immigrants did not rise in concert with those south of the border. The author proposes that this might have been due to a religious revival inspired by Henry Alline known as the Great Awakening, that this revival changed their social awareness. .
