New York: The Modern Library, 1950. 2nd Thus. Good+. Translated from the French by E. K. Brown, Dorothea Walter, and John Watkins; with an introduction by E. K. Brown (Professor of English, University of Chicago). Second or later edition from The Modern Library. No jacket. Red cloth over boards with gilded lettering in and frames around black labels on front and spine; edges and corners rubbed slightly with some fraying at corners and at head and tail of spine. Partially split at title page, but all holding fine. Top fore edge stained blue. Interior is lightly toned, otherwise clean, clear, and crisp.
