Most copies have faded to white, the front panel is also still pink. Binding tight with clean pages. light rubbing to the boards. Always uncommon and now more so since it reached a new audience when a 50th Anniversary Edition was published in 2017. One of the finest pieces of prose of the 20th century and a very uncommon true first of this stunning book..
Synopsis
J. A. Baker is also the author of The Hill of Summer. He was a native of Essex, England. Robert Macfarlane ’s Mountains of the Mind (2003), about wilderness and the Western imagination, won the Somerset Maugham Award and the Guardian First Book Award, among other prizes.
