NY: Charles L. Webster. VG. 1888. 1st Edition. Hardcover. First edition, a two volume set bound in matching green cloth with gil t lettering and pictorial designs. Set contains frontis plates, 15 add itional plates, and 27 maps, several which are fold-outs. A Very Good set. Volume 1 has tiny frays to the spine tips and to the corners. Own er's name neatly penciled on the front fly leaf. One of the fold-out m aps is creased and lightly worn along the outer edges. Volume II's low er corners are rubbed down to the inner boards. Small frays to the spi ne tips. One section of the text is slightly pulled but still firmly a ttached to the binding. Both volumes have offset tanning to the title pages from the frontis plate engravings. Overall a solid set. Shipping weight is six pounds. Additional shipping charges will apply. .
