Very Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. 1981 reprint of edition first published in 1921. 186pp, with colour plate frontispiece, 11 further colour plate illustrations and numerous line drawings in text, all by Mabel Lucie Attwell. In blue cloth-covered boards with stamped illustrations and decorations, gilt titles front and spine. Pale blue endpapers. Small 4to. Cloth a little rubbed and rounded on corners and spine tips, sunned over spine are around edges. Internally remarkably neat, clean, bright and tight. A handsome heirloom volume, with charming, whimsical illustrations.

Synopsis

Peter Pan: or, The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up (1904) is the title of Scottish playwright and novelist James M. Barrie's most famous play, and Peter and Wendy is the title of Barrie's 1911 novelization of it. Both tell the story of Peter Pan, a mischievous little boy who can fly, and his adventures on the island of Neverland with Wendy Darling and her brothers, the fairy Tinker Bell, the Lost Boys, the Indian princess Tiger Lily, and the pirate Captain Hook.
