Two massively heavy, oversized volumes, three volumes being bound into two, reprising the magisterial works by Laughlin published initially in 1940 by Houghton Mifflin. Volumes One and Two are bound in one volume here. Bound handsomely in cloth over boards in tall quarto format, and with nearly 700 black-and-white photographs. Two bright and shiny dust jackets, illustrated, showing moderate wear along edges, protected by a plastic coat in each case, not price-clipped. Volume One and Volume Two : xviii [2], 1-138 [1], [5], 1-141 [1] pp. Volume III, published in 1971, is xiv [1], 1-276 pp. in length and displays 200 additional objects in thirty-nine sharp and distinct black-and-white plates.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
