Presumed to be Oliver Powers (1741 - 1818), based on the birth date written on the note from when Oliver was 18 years old. Powers was born Sep 1741 in Lancaster, Worcester, Massachusetts Bay to Jonathan Powers. He served in the French and Indian (under Col. Williard) and Revolutionary Wars (in the Lexington Alarm Roll of Capt. Samuel Sawyer's Co., Col. John Whitcomb's regiment.).
