Translated byt Bernard Wall; intro by Sir Julian Huxley. Small octavo (8vo), 8"/20.1cm h x 5.5". Bound in publisher's matte color wrappers. 320 numbered pp plus 16 pp Torchbooks material to end, as of 1970. Condition notes: an ex-library copy with typical stamps and markings. Rather heavy sunning and staining to the heavy, durable wrappers; extensive pencil notes to rear endpapers, else unmarked. A solid reading copy of the remarkable work by the Jesuit and paleontologist de Chardin. We personally inspect every book we offer.
