About This Item
Small 8vo, original blue cloth with gilt lettering on top cover, illustrated, 142, [17-ad] pp. Ex-library copy, remnant of paper label on spine, bookplate of Pennsylvania Railroad on front pastedown, library pocket on rear pastedown, some extremity wear, a little browning, especially at edges, maps are a little aged, one has a small tear at fold (but all are in pretty nice shape); otherwise very good. This is a somewhat scarce railroad title that is very well illustrated. It contains four folding maps, including one that shows the routes and connections for this railroad, and about sixty illustrations of views and things you would see along the way. Other information includes a table of distances between stops, a diagram of a danger signal, illustrations of a couple of train stations, and a picture of a proposed bridge across the Susquehanna.
