Profusely illustrated book written to accompany two 1984 exhibitions: "Philadelphians and the China Trade 1784-1844" at the Philadelphia Museum of art and "The Canton Connection: Ships, Captains and Cargoes" at the Philadelphia Maritime Museum. The book is in almost as-new condition in a clean and bright dust jacket that has one 1/2 inch closed tear at the top of the front panel. The jacket is now protected in a new clear mylar cover.. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Book.
