About This Item
Sydney: Talkara Press, 1958. Hardback small octavo, no jacket as issued, very good condition, blue cloth cover (gilt lettering, spine & edges of covers little faded, spine ends little bumped), endpapers little toned, minor edgewear. 40 pp. Philip Dimmock committed suicide in 1955, aged 22. He developed diabetes five years earlier. He was a promising poet who died too early. The author, controversial publisher P. R. Stephenson, provides a biography, and wishes to reserve fragments of his poetry and ideas. Talkara Press is the publishing imprint of bibliophile and book collector Walter Stone, who later set up Wentworth Press. This is the fifth book from Talkarra Press. (Limited edition of 150 copies.).
