Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1961. First edition. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. 8vo. [9], 2-242, [2] pp. Bound in navy blue cloth with publisher's device and lettering stamped in gold on the spine. Price of 25s. net on the front jacket flap. Edited by J. O. Urmson and G. J. Warnock. Austin was one of the prominent philosophers in the ordinary language school and was extremely influential in the development of modern pragmatics. A posthumous collection of all of Austin's previously published philosophical papers (along with three that were unpublished). A touch of toning to the spine panel, very light edge wear to the rear panel.
