Lightly worn covers patchily faded, very good paperback copy. 29.5 x 21 cm. This book defines the main stages of the urbanisation of Phnom Penh, from its foundations in the fifteenth century and its rebirth in the reign of King Norodom, to the modern capital which developed after the independence and the changes which followed in the years 1975 - 1993. It brings together 293 photographic illustrations and a large number of reproduced old maps and drawings which assist in revealing the transformation of the city. .
