About This Item
New York: np, 1932. First edition. Fine. STUNNING SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH OF YEATS BY MARTIN VOS. A classic studio portrait of Yeats by the New York portrait photographer Martin Vos, signed "W.B. Yeats" in ink in the bottom right corner. Vos was a popular portrait photographer in New York in the 1930s, known for his portraits of celebrities, most notably Albert Einstein (a famous photoshoot with Einstein and Tagore) and Franklin Roosevelt.
Yeats visited New York from October 1932 through January 1933 at which time this photograph was presumably taken.
Size: 7.5 x 9.5 inches. Archivally double-matted and framed to an overall size of 14.5 x 16.5 inches.
New York: c.1932. Silver gelatin print. In fine, nearly perfect condition. Signed Yeats photos are very rare on the market.
