Vintage small black binder holding black sheets with photos attached; some ghosting to verso of each sheet due to adhesive, which does not affect the photos. Very good. 5 x 7" black binder, internally spiral-bound, housing 20 b/w photographs of erotic artwork by Paul Avril [Édouard-Henri Avril]. 19 photos measure approx. 4.75 x 3.5"; one photo, laid in, measures 7 x 4.75", and feature artistic renderings of scenes from antiquity, used to illustrate Forberg's De Figuris Veneris (aka The Manual of Classical Erotology): a man masturbates while gazing at a fresco of an orgy; a woman performs cunnlingus on another, bearing a lyre, as two mermaids have sex in the background; a man penetrates a woman from behind as she goes down on another woman seated in a chair; man with goat, etc. Each sheet of the notebook is numbered by hand in pencil.
