Clean except for the ink stamp of an academic department on the top, right, and bottom edges of the page block; hard cover shows some softening and light dust staining at spine ends, and jacket has numerous very small edge tears and chips, a conspicuous pressure mark at the lower front, a crease at the top rear, and a few small, scattered scratches, but is overall sound and now protected in a clear sleeve. xvii, 270pp. incl. index.
