First Edition of profusely illustrated volume containing two long pieces--an examination of the artist's work by Frank Elgar, and a biographical sketch by Robert Maillard. Book is very good, with a couple of corners slightlty bent, some wear to bottom of boards--no marks internally, dozens of color plates and b&w reproductions. Jacket good, with significant tears to corners and lower portion of rear panel, but intact w/no chips
