Drawn with pen and pencil. Edited by Samuel G.Green. The illustrations by Edward Whymper and other eminent artists: principally from photographs. Brown end papers, some small amount of netting showing through on rear border guttering. Inscription to rear of FFEP dated 1879. Some foxing to pages. Gilt edged pages.
