Original bright red cloth decorated in black and lettered in gilt on boards. Cracked endpapers and minor corner wear the only faults. Text in English, with marvellous photogravure embellishment. Floral endpapers; untrimmed front and bottom edges; gilt top edges. A "masterly little novel" according to Henry James.
