John J (from artwork by).. 1 Single page art print, color on off-white durable opaque paper. Text on reverse. 9x12in. From a collection of Audubon prints, with commentary by Roger Tory Peterson. The Pine Warbler, he writes, is about 5.5 inches long, smaller than a sparrow, and when Audubon observed it out of its pine habitat in tall grass, he first mistook it for a new species he had not earlier seen. It winters southward, and in the spring, is among the earliest to head north.
