With dozens of full-page and in-text black and white illustrations. Adams Six Guns 1351. Howes L-417. A history of Arizona, from the beginning of the colonization of the territory to its early statehood. Early explorers and trappers are featured, as well as anecdotes on the Apache people to whom Arizona is home. The industries of the region, mining, ranching, and agriculture are discussed, along with early American towns and cities, and the beginnings of a court and judicial system in Arizona. The book also has a great deal of history of Arizona's outlaws, including Wyatt Earp. A thorough history of the region's evolution. One small spot of offsetting to the gutter; jacket is price-clipped with traces of edge wear and toning.
