Imagined meeting and dialogue of the writers Heinrich von Kleist and Karoline von Günderrode. 8vo, mauve paper over boards with purple-gray cloth quarter and gilt lettering on spine, touch of dust soil to top edge, a little foxing to fore-edge and end papers, in unclipped DJ with 1/2" tear (mended from inside) to front panel at top, flaps slightly curled, handwritten correction of an error in front flap blurb and a note on back flap. Names of former owners Profs. Ann and Warner Berthoff written on ffep, her underscoring and/or marginalia - some small marks, some substantial - in pencil on approximately 50 pages and end papers.
