New York: Farrar , Straus and Giroux, 1970. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/Very Good. Good in an about Very Good jacket, clipped, faded a shade at the spine, bumped and rubbed at the edges. Quarter black cloth with red cloth on the boards, a few small stains. Bound with some reading wear and a slight forward lean, front endpaper removed, bookstore stamps on the first two leaves, clean and complete otherwise. Didion's controversial novel of Maria Wyeth and her interactions with within and without Hollywood.
Synopsis
Play It as It Lays is a 1970 novel by the American writer Joan Didion. Time magazine included the novel in its TIME 100 Best English-language Novels from 1923 to 2005.
