About This Item

New York: Atlantic Monthly Press, 1988. Soft cover. Very Good. Uncorrected Advance Proof. An entertainingly dark Hollywood novel that draws directly on Tolkin's experiences as a television writer and screenwriter. It served as the basis for the 1992 motion picture directed by Robert Altman and starring Tim Robbins. Inscribed by Tolkin on the title page to Glenn Goldman (1950-2009), founder of Book Soup, the independent bookstore in Hollywood he built into a Sunset Boulevard landmark. Original printed orange paper wrappers. "Book Soup" is written in ink at the top corner of the front panel. A very good copy. Inscribed by Author.
