Bernhard Tauchnitz, 1843. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1843. No Edition Remarks. Unpaginated. Half bound brown leather with marbled paper covered boards. Volume I. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Cracking to hinges with exposed binding, causing boards to be loose. Dark staining to edges. Binding is slightly shaky. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Leather peeling to spine and corners, with noticeable scuffing and scratches overall. Slight loss to spine ends.
