Edmund Waller was a 17th-century English poet who, while not nearly as popular as other poets, was an influence on more prolific writers like John Dryden. Waller's poems were generally written for the Caroline Court, many of which were regular set to music. His poems were published throughout the 17th-century including this 1668 printing of his poems by Herringman.
