Glasgow: John Smith & Son (Glasgow) Ltd,, 1927. Handsomely bound copy Facsimile of the first edition, published at Kilmarnock on 31 July 1786 by John Wilson, which was Burns's first appearance in print. Octavo. Finely bound by the Chelsea Bindery in green morocco, spine lettered and decorated with thistle centre tool in gilt, raised bands, burgundy endpapers, twin rule to turn-ins, top edge gilt. The occasional minor blemish, an excellent copy finely bound.
