Brown leather with gilt framing and raised bands to spine. Corners bumped, spine ends worn, front hinge cracked but cover securely attached by cord, rear hinge sound, internal binding sound, small bookplate on inside of front cover, previous owners' names and dates of 1778 and 1912 on front end-paper, end-papers darkened, pages clean.
