True first edition of this seminal work on John Donne and his poetry. "Edited from the Old Editions and Numerous Manuscripts with Introduction and Commentary by Herbert J.C. Grierson M.A." This is the only true first edition of this title found on the Web of 05/04/24.
Some rubbing and soiling to boards. Corners are bumped. Spine heads slightly frayed. Hinges are tight. No internal markings. FFEP's discolored with age. Includes an engraved portrait of Donne, facsimile title pages of Donne's earlier publications and some poems with musical accompaniment.
All proceeds benefit The Friends of the San Anselmo Library. No expedited shipping outside of the United States.
