About This Item
London: J Dodsley, 1768. Hardcover. Good.. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. The New edition of the first edition also published in 1768. Bound in contemporary tan calf. Raised bands to spine with gilt decoration and red title label. Edges are very rubbed and worn. Shoulders are splitting and front and rear hinges are loose. Small stains and spotting to boards. Pages are age tanned but bright and clean. Previous owner's signature on fep - a Miss J Gray, dated 1795. Possibly a relation of Gray's though he was unmarried and his siblings all died in infancy. A very nice copy. 1768
