London: Heinemann, 1960. 98 pp, 8 3/4" H. Light green cloth with silver lettering on spine. Signed, with an underscore, on front free endpaper by Wilfrid Noyce, British mountaineer and author. Noyce was a climbing member of the 1953 British Expedition that made the first ascent of Mount Everest. Poems include: Mountains and Hills; Hell Gate; A Prayer for Everest; Icefall; Swiss Tents on the South Col; The Snowslide; Before the Last Climb; Delhi Plain; Himalayan Window; Nepalese Village; Cholderton in Wiltshire; Two Verses in the Black-out, 1940; Lazaretto; King's College Bridge, 1946; etc., arranged under the headings: Mountain Sequence; Whoe'er She Be; People, Places, Seasons; Moods; Interpretations. Wrinkling at top/bottom of spine, slight fading and slight browning to spine and at top edge of boards, one very small corner bump and two slight very small corner bumps, six very tiny marks on fore-edge of text block, four very tiny dents on bottom of text block. Dust jacket has light edge wear/wrinkling - a little more at top of spine and flap-folds with small tears archivally tape on inside, light browning on spine, very light browning on flap folds and top edge of flaps, tiny red ink mark at fore-edge of front flap, slight general toning, water stain at bottom 1 1/2" of spine, one small edge tear archivally taped, now protected in a mylar sleeve..
