EWING'S EDITION OF GRAY'S POEMS, PUBLISHED AND INSCRIBED TO SILVER OLIVER, Esq., IN 1777.
IT INCLUDES 11 (OF 13) POEMS KNOWN, INCLUDING HIS 'ELEGY WRITTEN IN A COUNTRY CHURCH-YARD'.
The volume is in near-fine condition, tight, straight, and clean, with minimal rubbing on the spine ends. The gilt title on the spine is bright and clean. One quarter of the title page has been professionally restored (probably many years ago). in addition, there is very faint foxing on the inside covers.
Also included are 5 pages of "Notes by the Author, Now Fir(f)t publi(f)hed at the de(f)ire of Readers, who thought the Progress of Poesy, and the Welch Bards needed illu(f)tration."
