Paris: A. Boulland, 1830. Beautifully bound in contemporary red morocco, the covers with outer black rule and ornately blind tooled around a central octagon panel, the backs tooled in gilt with black morocco labels and gilt lettering, all edges gilt, marbled end pages, an altogether excellent example of fine French bookbinding of the period. With four hors-texte illustrations copper engraved by Frilley, Cousin and Durand after Tony Johannot, Pujol, Devéria and Henri Monnier. Near Fine, occasional moderate toning, one signature in each volume evenly browned indicating the use of a different paper. . First Edition. Morocco. Near Fine/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
