Paris: Chez Henrichs, 1803. With the royal bookplate of Antoine d'Orléans (1824-1890), Duke of Montpensier, who was the youngest son of King Louis Philippe of France and his wife Maria Amelia Teresa of the Two Sicilies. He was a noted early collector of photography. Bound in full vellum, gilt rules and lettering, marbled end papers, top edge gilt, ribbon marker. Near Fine, light soiling to vellum, end papers a bit toned. cxiii, 259 pp., with frontis engraving, 5 engravings and 4 engraved musical plates in text. Attributed to the Marquis Joseph-Etienne de Surville (1755-1798), a descendant of Clotilde. A lovely copy with distinguished provenance. . First Edition. Vellum. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
