Notes by G. M. Trevelyan. Publisher's green cloth with gilt spine and upper board lettering and an upper board garland decorative device gilt, octavo, pp. xv, [1], 623, [1]. Top edge gilt. Tissue-guarded frontis of Meredith. A nice gift inscription to previous owners on free front endpaper, dated June 1924. Very Good condition with light shelf rubbing at foot of spine and lower board tips.
