About This Item
The first book of Georgian Dada, by Grigol Tsetskhladze (1894-1976), who introduced dada literature in the Georgian language.. Cover design by Imrakli Gamrekeli, the foremost modernist and graphic designer of the Georgian avant-garde. These are his first poetic statements employing dadaist elements. Soon Tsetskhladze would become a spokesman for Synthetism, forswearing Futurism, Symbolism and other modernist movements as obsolete for a new activist vision. This copy good, cover portrait clear, covers restored with backing, chipped edge on pages throughout.
