London: G. Willis, 1854. 8vo, pp. xvi, 248 + frontispiece and 5 plates. Later half morocco by Ramage, marbled boards, spine divided by raised bands between double gilt rules, 2nd compartment lettered direct in gilt, other compartments tooled in gilt, top edge gilt. Just a touch of rubbing to extremities. An attractively-bound collection of poetry taken from the late 18th-century periodical The Anti-Jacobin, noted for its pro-government stance in the wake of the French Revolution.

Established in 1957, McNaughtan's Bookshop is the oldest surviving secondhand and antiquarian bookshop in Scotland. Located in the basement of a listed 1820s tenement building at the top of Edinburgh's Leith Walk, we are the only open shop in Edinburgh holding membership of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association.
