About This Item

London: Birn Brothers Ltd. (King Features Syndicate). Near Fine with no dust jacket. 1960. Presumed First UK Edition. Paperback. Delightfully illustrated card covers. No dustjacket, as issued. There is some light discolouration to the outer and inner edges of the card covers, a couple of small 'nicks' to the top edge of the last few pages, and the page fore-edges are lightly and uniformly tanned, but the paper is uniformly tanned too - cheap paper - possibly as issued. There are NO inscriptions or other major marks. Unpaginated. Charmingly illustrated throughout in b/w with some colour to each as printed. The drawings have not been coloured in so this an ideal book for the Collector. No. 147 printed on the rear cover. Overall, this is a Clean, Tight, and Bright, Near 'Fine' UNUSED copy. This colouring-in story book is a wonderful example of Popeye Ephemera. Untouched. Just some negligible storage/age wear stops it from being graded As New. See Images. ; Vol. 147; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall .
