Christchurch: Capper Press, 1978. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Thus. The book has only an ownership crimp to the fep and appears to be unread. The jacket has light rubbing and two closed tears. Port Chalmers is truly the gateway to Otago - for a long period, because of the dangers of the narrow channel to the Dunedin Harbour, and the hazards of cross-country travel, all traffic to and from the region had to pass through the port.
