Edges of back cover and inside of folder repaired with black binders tape. Title and library number handwritten on spine. Bookplate of library on inside of front cover, slight abrasions on inside of front board. 16 tipped-in annotated reproductions of b/w photographs, includes photo of Mark Twain, G. K. Chesterton, William Butler Yeats & Arnold Dolmetsch. Introduction by Nancy Newhall. Folder in good-, plates & booklet in near fine condition. Alvin Langdon Coburn (1882-1966) was an American photographer who pioneered vortographs, an abstract work produced using mirrors in a vortoscope, rather than a kaleidoscope.
